flat tire.

husband and i both had pretty rough days today.

and i guess our beetle didn't want to feel left out...
at the end of our day, she gave up
and gave us a flat on the way home.

i got mad at her {and husband- after all, he DID drive up on the curb
which caused the flat} but i'm working on my anger
and had fun with the camera while my love fixed the tire.
thanks, husband.
you're so handsome.

At least it wasn't raining . . ? :) I've had a flat in D.C. before, too - not fun.

A man who can fix tires! What a charmer! Also...I'll be in town next week. July 4-12. Lots of play time.

I've only had a flat tire once and my husband was with me too, thankfully. Definitely would have been stranded if he were not there. We were having a bad day when it happened too. Maybe the tires know. :)

flat tires are not fun. I have had 6 flat tires in my life and i'm only 23... you think by now i would be a pro on changing them... but im not :)

your husband looks a lot like gregory peck, i think.

Flat tires are the worst! I have been driving for 13 years now and I have had either 6 or 7 flat tires.. I tried to stop keeping track as it was depressing.

I'm so glad that you guys are ok. aww, husband looks very forgiving. I think he deserves cupcakes for changing that tire with a smile.

It's so funny how we never know what God has in the works for that day! Just goes to show that no matter how much we think we are in control - we are not. Oh well, can't cry over flattened tires.

Oh yes, and I also am a VW Bug driver, so I know the woes of their little blunders. (But it's so worth it to drive one!)

isn't it always something? Hubby doesn't look to distressed in that last photo so hopefully all is well in both your worlds!

one of my worst days in d.c. happened almost the same exact way. my husband was making a u-turn and ran over the curb causing a punctured tire in our 1 month old, brand new car. after 2 visits to different costco tire centers and 1 night in a crummy hotel, we finally made it home to durham. what a day ...

Your Husband always looks nice! Even while fixing this tire!

Abby's right, he does look a bit like Gregory Peck.

Way to have a good attitude about the flat tire. I'd be in trouble if my husband wasn't with me for something like. You'd think that growing up with 5 brothers I'd be a pro when it comes to changing tires and mechanical work.. not so my friend. not so. {they did it all for me. I'm completly clueless.}

A man who can change a tire or rewire a light fixture is awesome, huh?

Carrie said...

At least he fixed it. It could be much much much worse. If that happened to me, I'd have been stuck. I can't do anything car-related. :)
