this has inspired me to break out the left over fondant in the back of my refrigerator.

hmmm, this just might be the cutest thing ever.
(thanks alisha for sending! original source.)

i've always thought fancy-over-the-top birthday parties for babies were kind of silly. so imagine a birthday party for a dog?

will anyone still be our friend if we throw kingsley one?
(before you answer that, remember his birthday is ON HALLOWEEN. just THINK of the possibilities.)

besides already searching the web for "ninja costumes for dogs"
in my spare time, i'd love to try my hand at homemade fondant again.

That cake is Pure Awesomeness!!! If his birthday is on Halloween & you had a cake that ruled like that I don't think there'd be a problem with it! hehe. Ninja costume? Too cute!!

no judgments here...i'd do it!

I'm pretty sure your friends would love you even more if you threw kingsley a birthday party! That cake would be perfect, and it doesn't look that difficult to make either!

Love the idea of a ninja costume. Too adorable, I however hate worse than toilet cleaning working with fondant. Can never get the air bubbles out!

Kingsley is your baby. Baby's have birthdays, and they like that 1 time of year they get to eat a piece of cake! You should so do it!

i don't think it's crazy at all (and not just because i adore halloween). luna's first birthday is tomorrow so maybe i'll make her a tuna-flavored cake.

just the fact that kingsley is a bulldog makes it completely acceptable! he's cuter then lots of babies these days anyways so i'd say go for it. and ninja costume, awesome idea.

LOL I totally had a party for my pomerainians 1st b-day! Mable (that's her) had a party dress, gifts, a pom shaped cake and all kinds of doggy friends in attendance! It was HILARIOUS! And yes, I for one will still love you even if you have a doggy party!

now would you have to make it out of dogfood for Kingsley to eat or regular cake for your guests to eat?

It looks super cute!

Ali said...

Um, you HAVE to do it!

Maddy said...

That cake is precious! As are dog birthday parties, I say go for it. I'd do it if my baby weren't so anti social, any party we'd have would be mostly for us and she wouldn't notice!

that cake is adorable. and so is the hamburger one! I love them both!

PS: you better have a birthday party for kingsley because costumed dogs are always a sight.

We always have a birthday party for our pooches...cake, presents, balloons, party hats..the whole package! Looks to me like Kingsley is just another member of the family. And that is what you do for family. No shame!

The only problem with that cake is that it would be too cute too eat. But if you can get passed that, do it! Sounds like a great, fun reason to have a party!

saraH said...

maybe it's a good thing Kingsley's b-day is on Halloween so you have an excuse to throw a party! Cuz me personally, I agree that it's silly to throw way over-the-top parties for kids(at any age) so I think that's kinda silly if you have over-the-top b-day party for a dog. But that's just me. :)

I would be disppointed if you DIDN'T!! :) We've had doggie birthday parties AND Halloween costume parties. They're a blast! And other dog lovers totally get "it". And for the non-dog people, well, who cares about what they think anyway? How can you be a non-dog person, right? RIGHT! Party on sister!!
