eleanor + the piano.

Thursday, January 12, 2012

eleanor loves playing the piano with papa.
she bobs her head back and forth while she plays.
sometimes she plays with just one finger, then both hands.
white keys. black keys. high and low. loud and soft.
it's become her favorite thing to do
and mama and papa's favorite form of entertainment at our house.

This is so adorable! I always wanted to learn how to play as I got older. I hope that she learns to play as she grows up :) Talent seems to run in the family!

she's a cutie. I laughed out loud when I read "she bobs her head back and forth while she plays," she's a natural musician.

That is so precious. I love the photos you took of them playing, especially the second one showing her mimicing him. Watch out, you've got a little performer on your hands.

She looks like a natural up there!

Words cannot adequately describe how cute this is. If you start her on lessons young, just make sure you force her to keep going even if she gives you lip about it when she gets older. I regret giving up on piano when I got to high school, especially since my brother continued his lessons and is now a professional musician!

This is just adorable. Maybe she'll follow in her mama's footsteps and go to Juilliard?, too!

I swear, Elanor has to be one of the best dressed little girls around. Major props!

I love reading your posts and looking at all of your pictures! I'm curious how you get all of your photos to have that "faded" look? I know you've said before that you don't use PS, but usually only iPhoto and Picnic, so what is your trick!?

she is just too cute for words!!! her little face is so adorable, i can hardly stand it.
i know this is way random, but i've been following your blog for a long time now and i was looking for an email somewhere on your blog where i could (finally) ask you this, but alas, finding one.. i cannot. i was just wondering about your quality of pictures- they are so fantastic. is it a lens you are using? or is it the way that you edit them? i have an SLR, but i just love the way your pics are so perfect. the colors are soft, yet they are sharp. if you wouldn't mind letting me know, i would appreciate it so much!
oh, and also: i am in love with miss e's multi-colored hat. my little babe is oh-so-desperate for a winter hat (the snow is sure to hit us in utah soon). and its okay if you dont want to, but would you mind sharing where you got that as well, i would be so grateful! thank you!

I'm so envious of people who have the space for a piano (or are willing to sacrifice something like a dining room table to fit it in). I love hearing someone playing as I walk through the neighborhood, but now that it's cold out I'm not treated to those open-window performances anymore.

LOVE the close up shot of her on the piano! (And I completely agree with Heather Brady. A spotlight on you for Mormon.org would be fabulous!)
